The Historical Ethereum Metaverse

LANDESGALERIE IN VOXELS

Our Metaverse galleries, currently located on the Voxels platform, consist of the two main galleries: Landesgalerie Andromeda and Landesgalerie Origin. Each of the buildings showcases a wide range of digital art (including AI-produced pieces), VR installations, and NFT-based works. The works come from both renowned and emerging artists and are carefully curated.

Voxels itself is a virtual universe based on the Ethereum blockchain. It was founded in 2018 (then Cryptovoxels) by New Zealand developer Ben Nolan. Inspired by the concept of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and virtual reality, Nolan developed Voxels as a virtual world where users can buy, sell, and build on virtual land. In Voxels, the parcels of land themselves are NFTs stored on the Ethereum blockchain. This makes them unique and can be distinctly attributed to a specific owner.

Access is directly through the web browser of a computer or mobile phone. Alternatively, a VR headset like the Oculus Quest can be used to make the experience even more immersive

LANDESGALERIE IN OTHERSIDE

While we continue to expand our galleries in Voxels, we are also looking to expand into an upcoming Metaverse. That’s why we’ve secured three more plots for gallery locations in Otherside. This advanced Metaverse initiative by Yuga Labs is our next step in promoting digital art and forward-thinking technology.

Our position in Voxels and the planned engagement in Otherside, which will go live later this year, underscore the continued commitment of the Landesgalerie to the Metaverse. We remain open and vigilant to further initiatives that arise in this rapidly evolving field. This continuous growth underscores our commitment to being a progressive platform for artists and art enthusiasts alike, while simultaneously promoting a sense of community and a shared passion for innovative artistic expressions.
